What positive change can you make in your life that will make the biggest difference to you?

Every year more than 70 percent of people make New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, quit smoking, work out, save money, make more money and a multitude of other aims. New Year resolutions are simply goals that we set at the beginning of a New Year. They start out with high hopes, but soon become buried in the day-to-day activities and obligations, derailed by obstacles and emergencies. Soon they abandon their resolutions, give up on making positive change, and these resolutions join a long list of previous unsuccessful goal attempts.

Forbes magazine reported in 2013 that only eight percent of people who make New Year resolutions keep them. In fact, 35 percent of people who make New Year’s resolutions break them by the end of January. The majority fail to achieve what they want.

Goals are powerful, but without a process to follow that can lead you to their completion, they are almost worthless.

Your goals need to be tied to the positive change you want to bring about in your life, those that mean something, in fact they are the ones you know are going to bring about the biggest positive change in your life.

Alas most people struggle to find what ‘real’ changes will benefit them the most.

So, what can you do to find the positive change that will really drive you to keep working at them throughout 2018. Well it requires you to dig deep. To go inside of your mind, and push through all your insecurities and self-doubt, break through your fears, until you can be 100% honest with yourself, so you can uncover what truly needs to change.

Today I will provide you some questions you need to ask yourself, and dig deep into 8 areas of your life, to really determine for yourself the most important positive change that will have the greatest impact in your life.

Use these to uncover the biggest changes you need to make to ensure that 2018 you go on to create an awesome 2018.

Financial

• How happy are you with your finances this year?
• What financial issues do you need to work on?
• Do you have enough money to do the things you want to do?
• Do you manage your money and financial affairs and records well?
• Are you free from worry and anxiety about money?
• Do you earn a good income, rewarding you well for your efforts?
• Do you have a good amount of savings?
• How much are your current assets?
• Are you making wise investments?
• Are you achieving your best?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Health and Fitness

• Are you satisfied with your level of health and fitness?
• Do you do enough to maintain your health and fitness?
• Do you take responsibility for your health and fitness?
• How healthy are you?
• Are you struggling with anything in particular?
• Is your lifestyle healthy?
• Do you have enough sleep/rest?
• Are you eating healthily?
• Are you exercising regularly?
• Is your fitness at a good level?
• How happy are you with your health this year?
• What health issues do you need to work on?
• Are you in control of stress?
• Have you made this area enough of a priority?
• Are you achieving your best?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Professional

• How are you performing in your professional life?
• Are you achieving your best?
• How satisfied are you with your career this year?
• What career issues do you need to work on?
• Are you doing what you love to do?
• Do you hanker for something different?
• Are you doing the one thing you truly want to do?
• Do your skills and strengths match the role you play in your business?
• Is your business going well, or not?
• Do you dread Monday mornings?
• Are you happy with your performance?
• Are you satisfied with your productivity?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Social life

How satisfied are you with your social life this year?
What social life issues do you need to work on?
Do you have a good social circle?
Do you have friends to hang out with, talk to, confide in, and have fun with?
Do you have deep connections with these friends?
Are you meeting new people?
How much fun are you having?
Do you give yourself time to have fun?
Do you do the things you enjoy to do?
Have you given yourself time for a social life?
Do you recall many happy, fun social times from last year?
Have you made your social life a big enough priority this year?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Relationships

• How happy are you with your relationships this year?
• What relationship issues do you need to work on?
• Do you have a sufficient number of great friends?
• Do your friendships nourish and sustain you?
• Are you satisfied with the level of contact you have with your family?
• Are you open to creating an intimate loving relationship?
• Are you free from past resentments or blame in the area of intimate relationships?
• Do you create romance in your life?
• How are your relationships with your family members? Your relatives? Do you talk with them freely? Do you communicate with them openly?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Passion and Purpose

• Are you giving back to your society and the world?
• Are you supporting the communities, people, places, or issues that you care about?
• Do you live your life full of passion, excited by what you do?
• Do you see a purpose in what you do?
• Do you have something you truly believe in that you want to support and bring it to the attention of others?
• How satisfied are you with your passion and cause this year?
• What issues do you need to work on?
• Do you feel your life has meaning?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Possessions

• Do you have the things you want?
• Is the environment in which you live conducive to you being happy?
• What purchases that you made were you most satisfied with?
• What one thing would you most have wanted to buy but have not been able to?
• Are you satisfied with the things you have?
• Are there many things you want that you do not have?
• Are you appreciative of what you have?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

Mind and Personal Growth

• How satisfied are you with your mind and personal growth this year?
• What mind and personal growth issues do you need to work on?
• Are you growing?
• Are you achieving your highest potential?
• Are you being the best you can be?
• Do you respect yourself?
• Do you love yourself?
• Do you believe in your abilities?
• Do you value what you do?
• Do you appreciate yourself?
• How are you limiting yourself?
• Do you invest in yourself?

Now ask yourself: What one positive change can I make in this area of my life that will make the biggest difference to me?

You need to get clear on the things you want to change, what you want to be different in your life one year from today.

Use the questions to uncover the positive change which will bring the biggest improvements in the next 12 months.
