What makes some bloggers so good? They usually have a different way of thinking, and some specific traits that set them apart. They have acquired and built the successful bloggers mindset.

In the next two week in my Sakura/All The Missing Pieces Live Conference I am talking about Keys to Blogging Success. My first talk will be on the ‘Mindset of a Successful Blogger’ this Monday, followed the week after by ‘The 20 Steps to Blogging Success’ I want my members to know clearly what it is going to take for them to climb the ladder of success to reach the top. In this article today I will highlight the main points I will be putting forward in the Mindset of a Successful Blogger.

Having the right mindset is key to anything you want to achieve in life. When you meet someone with what I call the ‘winner’s mindset’ you will notice their passion, determination, resilience, and a sense of self confidence that screams, “I can do it! Nothing will stop me!” They approach every challenge with a resolute commitment to excellence. Winners undoubtedly recognize that they have to put in a lot of hard work and effort, and they don’t put it off until tomorrow. They do what is necessary to win today!

Nothing comes easy. Nothing is given to you. Whatever you do, you’ve got to work for it and earn it. Whatever reward you get you’ve go to know that you’ve had your input into that success. There’s no substitute for hard work. And if you want to be well known or well liked, you have to put yourself out for people.  Jack Charlton

As a blogger you have to have the right mindset to create your success! Anyone; regardless of who you are and where you are from, can gain this mindset if you want to!

You already know there are only 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 52 weeks a year. The moment you understand that your time is too short to be messing around and doing things that are giving you no benefits, you get one step closer to understanding and developing the successful mindset.

Successful bloggers don’t do anything astonishing; they just do it in the right way. Success is a word which we all live for. Before you can achieve success, you need to be able to define what success actually means to you. Without a clear vision of what success is to you, you cannot work towards it.  Success means different things to different people. What motivates me might not motivate you at all.

Success is all about your mindset; the mindset of believing in you and doing whatever it takes to succeed, no matter what. One of the biggest enemies is “YOU”. If you don’t believe in yourself then you have no chance of being successful. You have to have a mindset that believes you will succeed.

Here are some traits of successful bloggers. I hope this helps you along the way!

Trait One:  Clear vision of why you want to blog

The better and clearer you know why you want to blog, the more motivated you will be and the less likely you will find yourself giving up. So ask yourself: “Why do I want to blog? You have to be very clear, and very specific with the answer.

Trait Two: Have knowledge that can Create Value

A key question to ask yourself is whether you can create value for your readers. For a blog to be successful it must create real value. It must be a worthwhile addition to their reading schedule. What interests you in life right now? What is the one area you would say you have more knowledge on than the average person? It’s very possible that the answer to any of these questions is what you should be blogging about. It’s important that you show the world the real you, and what you know!

Trait Three: Believe in yourself

Believe that what you are doing will work. The number one reason why people fail to live up to their potential is that because they don’t believe in themselves. You will succeed tomorrow when you believe today that you will succeed.

Trait Four: Constantly take action

You have to take consistent action to turn your dreams into reality Everything starts from taking action. Every moment is critical, you have no time to waste. To make the most of every second you having to be doing the things that count.

Trait Five: Be passionate about what you do

I know you have read about being passionate. I never stop writing about it, and I never will.  Having a passion in what you blog about plays a huge role for your success. Passion for what you are doing and what you are blogging about.

Trait Six: Focus on one thing at a time

You must not get yourself into the feeling that you are overwhelmed by all the things you need to do. It is essential that you work out which are the most important activity you need to be doing at any given time so as to ensure you are focusing on just that task. If you’re blogging to build a business you need to focus on those things that are most important, instead of wasting your time away.

Trait Seven: Self-Discipline so you Stick to your routines

Whether you’re a full time or part time blogger, it’s important to stick to a routine.  Designing a schedule that you adhere to on a daily basis will help you stay focused, take action consistently and remain committed to the priority tasks required for blogging. You need to create a routine that best suits you and stick to it which is where self-discipline comes in big time.

Trait Eight: Put in the Time and Commitment.

To be a successful blogger there are many tasks which you need to perform.  Writing regularly and consistently, marketing your blog and networking with other bloggers are just a few of the important things needing to be done. To be successful you have to commit the time to blogging so that you can spend enough time at it.

Trait Nine: Being Goal Driven

One great characteristic of highly successful bloggers is that they have goals, they know exactly what it is they’re trying to achieve. They set their goals and start taking specific action steps towards accomplishing these. Every day these goals will keep them driven and motivated. They won’t give up until they’ve accomplished them.

Trait Ten:  Willing to experiment with content

Using the different types  of content makes your blog more varied and interesting. You really don’t just want to be producing text articles alone. Add different types of content such as your typical text articles, Videos and Audios. No matter what you do, make sure that you use easy to understand language, so that your visitors have no problems to get your message. Always think about what’s best for them and how you can make their lives better. Think about how you can stand out from all the other blogs in your niche.

Trait Eleven: Stay true to yourself

Stay true to your values, and your beliefs. Many can move away from this, especially when they see other the opportunity to make money. Let your true genuine personality make you stand out, never compromise yourself. Be the real deal!

Trait Twelve: You show Persistence

To be successful you need to be persistent. You need to have the ability to keep going no matter how frustrated you get, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how many other people say you’ll never succeed. You can succeed, but only if you don’t give up.

Trait Thirteen: Your Readers are what is important

Without readers, there would be no point us blogging. So it makes sense to put your readers first. You have to show them appreciation. In fact realise your blog isn’t really about you, instead it’s about them. Always think about what you can do for your visitors and how you can help to improve their lives. Find out what they want, and deliver it to them. Go that extra mile, it’s worth it!

Trait Fourteen: Be a Genuine Networker

Networking with other bloggers, building great relationships and making good friendships is vital. You must get out into the blogosphere and network with others and participate in conversations. Get involved in the comments section of other bloggers. Respond on your own blog. Link to other bloggers and their posts. Talk with other bloggers in the social networks. Build up your community and your presence!

Trait Fifteen: Be a great marketer

Don’t delude yourself with the belief that  “if I build it, they will come” mentality. There’s no question that Google will find you, but to grow your blog requires not only that you write articles, but spend time promoting it. To create a successful blog, you’ve got to be willing to put the effort into making sure people know about it.

Create within you these traits of the Successful Bloggers Mindset and you will find that Blogging will help you create a wonderful business and a brilliant life.
