Today I want to provide you with a tool for life, where I am going to help you to relax your body like never before using the incredible progressive muscular relaxation technique.
Finding ways to relieve your body’s tension is important for most of you. Frequently I’m sure you feel at times like your muscles are tight or strained, where you can sense aches and pains around your body, sometimes to the point where you find it restricting and debilitating so that it prevents physical activity, lays you low, where you feel mentally and physically fatigued.
We all react to our life’s troubles in different ways, but it is very common to feel stress and tension in our body because our body is reacting to the negative patterns of thought spiralling around in our mind. For many life is such a struggle and stress builds to the point of overflowing.
Those who take time to relax and release inner tension do much better physically and emotionally than those who fail to engage in such behaviour.
I’m going to introduce you to Progressive Muscular Relaxation a technique which gets you to relax your muscles through a two- step process. This will help you to lower your overall tension and stress levels, and help you relax when you are feeling anxious.
This is one of my favourite techniques, and I feel one of the most important in your relaxation tool box. I have found this relaxation technique a tremendous way to calm my body and mind, helping me to get through difficult times, getting my body more relaxed and in a way stronger. You will also find it benefits you by using it frequently. My suggestion is to set aside time for it every day. It will make a world of difference.
When you don’t make the time for relaxation, your stress remains unhindered, creating higher and higher levels of stress hormones within your body and ensures you will suffer from physical, emotional and mental stress.
Progressive Muscular Relaxation is a combination of deep breathing with the intentional contraction and relaxation of muscles to bring about relaxation. It’s a very simple technique, where you first tense a muscle, tightly contracting it, keeping it under intense tension for a short time. Then you relax your muscle normally, and then consciously relax the muscle even further.

This simple technique will not only improve your physical wellbeing, but will improve your mental state by reducing stress, anxiety, irritability, and depression. Trust me here, this is a MUST DO. This is an awesome technique. I love doing this twice a day. First thing in the morning just after waking up to get my body going, and then at night, just before going to bed, relieving the stress and strains of the day.
Go practice it, use it every day and soon notice the incredibly positive difference it is going to make.
