Wish Dream Believe – The Power Of Words

There is one thing that can change lives, make the sick healthy, inspire success, direct us forward, empower our actions, make or break relationships and stay with us for a long time. That power is the power of words.

We all need motivation at times in our lives and the power of words comes from the fact that they can inspire us at any time. Words create an expectation of reality; anticipation for what is promised, hope for what is to come, they can help us remain motivated and focused.

“No matter what you employ as a method of motivation, one thing is for sure – keep true to your desire to put inspirational thoughts at the forefront of your day, your life, and your thinking.” Catherine Pulsifer

We all love those motivational posters and many of you I have no doubts will have one or two hanging in your home. I’m looking at one right now that says:

WISH, DREAM, BELIEVE

Words have the power to conjure images into our minds helping us to visualise our dreams and appeal to our aspirational nature. The right empowering words can change our thinking and help us see something in ourselves that we want to change or overcome, and make us believe that we can. They will drive us forward, with excitement.

The day will arrive when I am no longer here. My hope is that I will have left enough memories behind for people to remember me in a good light. I love the fact as a blogger that I will leave behind my mark through the words I have written and that people will read them and feel inspired and motivated long after I’ve gone. Knowing I can do that from my grave is a big reminder of the power of the words.

We can be all be motivated by inspirational words of wisdom or by a few simple warm words that brighten our day.

There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic. Diane Setterfield,

We often forget the impact our words have on ourselves and the people around us.

Words can lift our moods or they can pull us down.

In fact, all our words have an impact, good or bad, and this must never be forgotten as words can either encourage or destroy.

That’s the power of words.

Every time one of my daughter’s say ‘Dad I love you’ I feel totally empowered and for days can be carrying a smile on my face because of the feelings those magic words can create.

Positive Words of encouragement and love can lift us up so high we can almost touch the clouds … that’s the power of words.

Positive Words are powerful because they take feelings of anger, fear, insecurity, and doubt away from us … that’s the power of words.

Positive words, said out loud, lift you and everyone around you up … that’s the power of words.

Positive words quickly stamp out negative self-talk and change your poor attitude … that’s the power of words.

With this kind of power, it’s best you use your words carefully and you fill your mind with positive ones. That’s why quotes are so great to read, written by the best minds they really demonstrate the power of words.

Looking at the pictures above my head right now wish … dream … believe I know such words have the power to get us through a bad week, and can even give us the courage to pursue our life’s dreams.

We all know that following your dreams is usually easier said than done. A little motivation and inspiration through words, quotes, signs can do only good.

Napoleon Hill said ‘Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.’

“Words can build us up. Words can break us down. Start a fire in our hearts or. Put it out. Let my words be life. Let my words be truth.” Hawk Nelson

“Words used to elevate, to motivate, to comfort have a meaning well beyond simple letters strung together. They are powerful in how they make a person feel. Their emotional impact can define a life or change an outlook. Words make human errors forgivable.”

For the next week, make sure you use positive, uplifting words. If you truly desire happiness and success you must invest in the power of words.

One of my very favourite quotes is “

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Confucius

What words or quote never fails to motivate you ?

As Rudyard Kipling said: “Words are the most powerful drug used by mankind.”
