Great bloggers don’t do anything astonishing, they just do it differently. They have made their blogs popular and successful by providing a place where their readers know they will get quality, unique and consistent content.

But writing interesting and highly valuable posts is not enough to become successful. There are many other things to be done for achieving this goal. Website optimization work, usability improvements, keyword research, comment on other blogs, communicating with people in social networks and all forms of traffic generating marketing have to be done on a regular basis.

Who are successful bloggers? Are they extremely talented people who have managed to become skilled experts in certain field of business or just hard workers who are ready to spend a lot of time in front of a computer? I would say a blogger like Darren Rowse does both. He has turned his blog into a successful business, and part of the reason for this is his unbelievable work ethic.

Many of you work full time at a normal job and blog at night and on weekends. No doubts you often feel the pressures of trying to find time to blog in order to keep your dream of one day quitting your job and becoming a full time blogger.

A question many new bloggers ask is it really possible for a new kid on the block to create a blog that can make a huge impact?

Be aware that building a successful blog will never be instant. Any blog consumes a lot of time and effort to become popular and successful . If you’re not blogging on a subject that you have a passion for, you will never turn your blog into a great one, and more than likely you will burn out sooner or later and would have wasted all the time and effort.

When you have a passion and you share your knowledge and experience it is possible to become a successful blogger.  People will read your blog because they like your style and personality, maybe they are able to relate to and learn from your experiences … or simply because they share the same interests as you.

Getting constant streams of visitors is a problem that most website owners regularly face. Adding a variety of online marketing strategies can help to attract visitors and therefore this is a very important part of blogging.

If you want to be a successful blogger, you need to have the right mindset.

Here are eight traits you need to Blog Successfully:

1.)    Passion about your niche and blog is very important, as passion is never-ending. As long as you are passionate about the topic you choose to blog about, you will never run out of things to write about! Once you start discussing the topics you really love, you can definitely go on and on non-stop. If you do not feel the spark and excitement in the topic you have chosen, it is most probably an indication that you are not passionate enough about it. With passion, creativity will flow indefinitely and you will have endless opinions and topics for discussion.

2.)    Commitment shown by blogging on a regular basis and performing all the other necessary tasks even when you don’t see results. The commitment that it takes to write consistent content is huge.  Having the commitment to produce regular content is key.

3.)    Motivation is another important trait you need to have and it provides you with the energy and enthusiasm to blog. Blogging will unleash that motivational power within you. You have this incredible potential trapped inside of you just begging to be let out so let blogging ignite that flame to make it happen

4.)    Honesty is an important trait so there is never a question of your motives and your readers always know what they’re getting. You have to earn the trust of your readers through your posts, opinions, and engagement. Trust is important so never manipulate or hoodwink your readers.

5.)    Networker as you have to be an active participant in the blogosphere. You have to form relationships with other through engagement in social networks, actively participating on other blogs through comments and potentially guest blogging. You have to forge friendships with other bloggers. You cannot exist in a vacuum, you need to build a network for you to grow as a blogger.

6.)    Provide Value through well-written, unique posts. It’s essential that you update your blog with new posts on a regular basis, After all in the world of blogging, content is king. Your posts are the only thing that will make your blog stand out for the millions of others out there and they have to provide value to your readers and keep them coming back.

7.)    Humanity is a crucial trait for a blogger to demonstrate. Share your dreams and your unique way of seeing the world, be authentic. Bring the real you to your writing, let your reader get to know you.

8.)    Determination is essential if you want to succeed at blogging. To improve your blog, increase ranking, attract comments, build traffic takes time, and with it often comes a lot of frustration. If you don’t show determination you will end up quitting when the hurdles come.
