Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Winston Churchill

The fear of failure is one of the most frequent sources of paralysis for people in life. For many the shame of having failed will also keep them down and in fear of every trying again, even if this means they have to go through life miserably.

I want you all to understand that we are on a life journey. It had a beginning but the only end is when we die. Till then anything is possible and we can do and achieve so much. No matter how many obstacles you face on your journey, or how many failures you meet, nothings final, your journey continues, and how much you put into it is totally down to you.

Success and failure are merely bus stops on the journey we call life. Success and failure prove more valuable as instruments of learning and character building.

It’s what lies in a man that makes him who he is, and what he does with what is in him., it’s important to understand that the desire to succeed comes from within you and not from any external source. Probably the most important lesson I can tell you, is that it is your reaction to everything that happens to you that’s key to your final success in life.

Failure is a critical part of growth.

We all fail.

We can all go on to achieve success.

Alas some of you give up when you fail.

Theodore  Roosevelt once said, “Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy ‘nor  suffer much because they live in that grey twilight that knows neither victory ‘nor defeat.”

I love the Nike video featuring Michael Jordan about ‘Failure.’ It shows a wonderful approach to failure. it shows that you can’t be deterred by it.

It gives us all an essential message, an inspiring example,, we all fail. Success isn’t based on “avoiding” failure, but on “facing” it correctly.

Abraham Lincoln said

“Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.”

Now here is a man who knew defeat. He failed in business, and he was defeated numerous times for public office. With each setback, Lincoln continued to persevere and learn from his mistakes. Failure never stopped him; it taught him. I have no doubts you are all aware of his achievements, and his remarkable place in history.

Another man who perfected failure and turned it into success was James Dyson.  Here is a man who invented a vacuum that almost 1 in 3 homes in the UK has one.

Here is what he has to say on it.

I made 5,127 prototypes of my vacuum before I got it right. There were 5,126 failures. But I learned from each one. That’s how I came up with a solution. So I don’t mind failure. I’ve always thought that schoolchildren should be marked by the number of failures they’ve had. The child who tries strange things and experiences lots of failures to get there is probably more creative. James Dyson

Courage is essential if you want to achieve success. Meet all failure with the courage to keep going, backed up with the commitment, energy and persistence toward the attainment of your dreams. Believe that success is not final.

My writing is from my own life experiences My hope is that my writing shall ignite a spark in each of you who has failed and convince you to never give up.  My passion is encouraging people to become the best they can become

So know failure is bound to come your way, but no longer see it as a negative term.  The only real failure is where you give up before you achieve your dreams.Success is not final, nor is failure.

Fight on always!
