One of the messages I am frequently putting through my blog is to never give up. This is the first step to overcoming roadblocks on your life journey. I don’t just write about this as a theoretical idea, but from experience.
I am enjoying building my healthy lifestyles business, it’s been my dream for a long time now, and I sometimes have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. But the journey has not been easy, there have been many twists and turns, with situations arising which could have been interpreted as a disaster. Yet I allowed nothing to deter me, and what ever happened I never lost the belief in what would be the final outcome. What I have learned is that sometimes what we see as a disaster may actually be a necessary situation to clear our path or redirect us to where we are actually wanting to go. Let me explain.
One of the things I have in printed on my mind by my mother was this saying ‘your destiny is written on your bottom.’ What did she mean by that?
Basically this is telling us that our life is planned for us from birth. Our destiny is mapped out for us is we decide to follow the right route. But we don’t have to stick to this pre-destined route if we decide not to. Of course our problem is often we don’t know what it is we are meant to do, what our purpose is, or the road we are meant to take. So we make mistakes. We have to discover what the journey we are meant to take is.
We make our decisions and choices with the hope we’re doing the right things, which will end up with us being happy and successful in life. Way too often we take a wrong turn, heading in the wrong direction reaching a dead end where nothing awaits us but misery. But sometimes this may not be a bad thing. We have to realise that there is good in every situation. We just have to find out what it is. Often it’s a message to us giving us the signal that we are heading off in the wrong direction, and this turn of event stops us and makes us redirect ourselves. I see it as our internal missile guidance system. It will constantly work to keep us on course even if that means it has to slam a door in our face that we wanted to walk through. It’s just showing us that we were not meant to go that way.
This is what helps us find our right path, the one destined for us. Every time we deviate from the correct path an event will try to coax us back to the right one, even though to do this it may make us experience a harsh lesson.
Everything we do, the choices we make and decisions we take affect our future. When we understand that roadblocks and obstacles appear to show us when we are heading in the wrong direction, it makes these events more palatable, and helps us deal with them far more efficiently. They are signs to get your attention, and it is no good you seeing them as a disaster because if you do you may be so badly affected by them that you lose your will to fight on and instead give up.
From now on see them as something that happens to protect you and to guide you back on track when you go astray. They simply offer you an opportunity to make good, a guide to the road to take.
This knowledge has served me well. Many challenges have tried to stop me but I would allow nothing to overwhelm me. Nothing will hold me back from my success nothing could ever make me decide to give up. I dig my heels in and push forward with more determination. What we are building so consumes my mind with thoughts of progress and accomplishment. that no matter what obstacles are thrown in my way I will continue with a steely determination.
Yet so many when they hit a stumbling block or roadblock they throw their hands in the air and decide to quit. Never let this be you.
So understand for yourself that an obstacle’s only temporary. Also in print onto your psyche that giving up is not an option. Some of you will take more time to find the right way to go, but in the end we can all arrive at our destined destination if we just keep going.
So when roadblocks and obstacles occur stop and ask yourself, What is this showing me?
