Having started online as a blogger and determined this is what I wanted to be doing with a majority of my time, I then had to pursue the path to enable me to build a business around it.

When I first started blogging, I never had any intention of building an online business. I was just a blogger who shared content online on subjects that I was both extremely passionate about and had a fair about of knowledge for. I wrote constantly, but didn’t embrace the thought of making money online.

Many bloggers feel the pull to entrepreneurship, believing that by them creating value and contributing to a world in a way that makes the difference there will be a way that they can monetize this. I came to this conclusion, and was driven by a very strong desire to do so.

Making this transition demands a very big shift in perspective. To a blogger, the blog is the most key element, supported by contributing through social networks where you build relationships particularly with other bloggers. Once you turn your attention to building a business your key focus has to be on things from a business perspective and making money.

Having a business mindset is knowing that the purpose of business is to make money, you can’t take your eye of this being your main target. Sometimes your hobby is just a hobby, which is what blogging was to me at the start. Either you’re going to have a hobby that makes you a little extra money or you’re going to have a business that requires a higher level of development in order to acquire a higher level of income.

I admit that I have loved the journey and have to a part adopted a very simple methology. I saw myself as a blogger first and foremost opening myself to the world and saying, here I am, what can I do for you to be of service! You have to develop the most important asset you have to help grow your business and that’s your mindset.

All entrepreneurs- should understand in their quest to grow a business they have to adopt the right mindset. For a blogger turning towards the idea of building a business out of his time online you have to change your entire perspective.

In order to become an effective entrepreneur, it is necessary to possess a certain set of building blocks within yourself first that create the mindset for success.

The Wikipedia definition is: An entrepreneurial mindset can be described as a group of personal dispositions, also known as entrepreneurial spirit, which lead to the innovative practice of identifying and/or creating opportunities, then acting to manifest those opportunities in a productive way. Let me give you my definition from my experience of being an entrepreneur.

You have to have complete belief in what you’re doing and trust in yourself, and know that you are providing value to others by way of the services or products you provide. I say frequently that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others.

When you are loving what you are doing, it is easy to ass value. Creating value and developing a business online is a process throughout which you need to retain the right business mindset. .

Would you say you have a good business mindset?
