Isn’t it amazing, that as our years advance we get further away from being the person we want to be.
So you are ready to change your life? Are you fed up of your job, sick of the nagging boss, and at your wits end with the lack of money. You seem to be living day to day with no goal to achieve, no project that inspires you, your kids have grown up and flown the nest, in fact you really don’t have any reason to get out of bed in the morning apart from having to go to work at a job you hate! Does this sound like you?
Do you still retain an image of that person you wanted to be, and that life you wanted to lead?
If that is who and what you still want for yourself, I hope then that you do. All change begins in your mind. Before you can change your circumstances you must first imagine yourself differently in your head.
Whatever you can vividly imagine, you can achieve. Everything in your world and everything around you was once an idea in the mind of its creator.
Invest time each day visualizing what you want in your life. Sit quietly in a place where you will not be disturbed. The best time to do this is just before going to sleep at night and just upon awakening in the morning. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Relax. Become quiet and at peace. Mentally create a picture of what you want. See it as vividly as you can. Don’t strain. Add color and sound and smells. Engage all of your senses.
You may even want to picture a movie screen in your mind’s eye and project your image onto the screen. Just relax and see this picture. Don’t worry if it’s not a perfect picture. What matters is that you are teaching your subconscious mind what you want to have in your life.
Change is difficult there is no denying that. But you’ve got to try. After all you know you’re missing something. You’re letting time pass you by.
Try following these few steps to help you start living up to your potential and creating the future you deserve.
• List what’s currently good in your life and what you don’t want to change.
• List what’s currently crap in your life and that you definitely want to change.
• Write a description of the life you would like to be leading and write it as if you are experiencing it already (e.g. start with the words, “My life is brilliant because…”) and remember everything is possible, so let your dream flow.
• Now list the changes you would need to make in order to achieve your dream life.
• Next to each write the practical implications and what needs to happen to make them come true.
It takes but a simple decision to change your life. So from this moment on I want you to embrace your problems and make the decision to take innovative action, let go of the struggle and make a simple commitment to become the special and talented person that lies within us all!
To become the person you want to be … make changes.
It was Gandhi that said that you must be the change that you want to see in the world. Its a fact that you cannot spend your life waiting for someone else to do things for you. You have to take control because if you want something changed, you need to do it.
So go do it
