One of the keys to life is knowing and living by your values. Your values are at the centre of who you are. They are the measuring stick of life. What we value decides what life means to us, what actions we will take, what we will move towards or away from.
When you are clear on what your values are?[ul type=”bullet” style=”4″] [li]You connect to what is most important to you in life making goal setting far more simple[/li] [li]It directs where your focus needs to be[/li] [li]You commit far more to everything you do[/li] [li]It allows you to lead a life of intention[/li] [/ul]
Values can be defined as those things that are important to or valued by a person. To me, knowing my values enable me to be clear on what I am about and what I stand for.
When you come disconnected from your values, you lose your motivation. Very often you end up doing everything on auto pilot, one day looking at your life and saying “is that It.”.
You regret more what you haven’t done, than enjoy those things you have done. You reflect about your life, regretting so much all because you failed to identify your most important values and therefore didn’t spend your time fulfilling those things that your values would have led you to doing.
So hopefully you can see how important it is for you to get in touch with your values. Ask yourself:[ul type=”bullet” style=”1″] [li]What do you value in life?[/li] [li]What drives you?[/li] [li]Are you living out of line with what you truly value?[/li] [/ul]
Believe this fact, when you are out of alignment with your values, life is a struggle. You’re more often than not unhappy, unfulfilled. The things we value are always there in our subconscious mind, influencing us whether we acknowledge them or not.
When you align your life with your values, you feel more contented, more at peace and more fulfilled.
In personal development life coaching, we want to find out the values of our client, so they can fully express them in their life.
You need to get your most important values right in front of you. It will also connect your values with your actions, so you’ll spend more of your time on what you really want to achieve.[ul type=”bullet” style=”1″] [li]What are my goals?[/li] [li]What is important to me?[/li] [/ul]
Then;[ul type=”bullet” style=”1″] [li]What’s important about this goal?[/li] [li]What do I value or treasure about this goal?[/li] [li]What meaning does this goal hold for me?[/li] [/ul]
All our goals, dreams, and desires are simply the vehicles for fulfilling our values. When we connect all the dots life is magic.
