This Saturday (5th November 2011) I’m going to be discussing the difference between a blogger and an internet marketer. How will this help you with your own blog?

I don’t see myself just as a blogger. Maybe six months ago I was but now I see myself as an Online Business Person. Like any business I don’t rely on just one source of income. There are many ways my business makes money and I’m not just talking about online income although this is where the majority of profits for my business come from.

I suppose you can say I made the transition from being ‘just a blogger’ some time ago but what’s changed? On the surface the only difference between now and six months ago is I make good money from blogging. Underneath it’s a far more complicated story.

Being a life coach I train people how to create a positive ‘can do’ mindset. I have had to apply these methods to blogging and I had to switch my mindset from being ‘a blogger’ to being an ‘Online Business Person’. Making this key change has been the major factor to my online success. This led me to ask an important question.

Can a blogger make money online?

Dare I say the answer to this question is no? Well maybe yes, but it will take a long time, and require really good traffic. More importantly, is this question only limited to a blogger? What about an Internet Marketer, MLMer’s or an Affiliate Marketer? If you see yourself as just a blogger or just an affiliate marketer then chances are you aren’t making money online. The likes of Darren Rowse and John Chow are great bloggers but they are a lot more than this. They are Internet Business People who see their blogs as a tool they use to run a business. They’re not only great bloggers, they utilise all the tools you need to be a success online. Any successful online Business Person is a master of at least three of the above and this is the change a blogger needs to understand.

Let me be honest, Bloggin is fun. I’m proud to say my original blog hits a great niche and provide unique information that generates interest and following. Once enough people began reading my blog posts I began to make money by selling advertisements and text links on my blog; displaying google adsense adverts, and selling services from my blog. But this is only part of the story. I do and have much more in my online business setup, which makes me a successful online Business Person.

I will be talking to a lot of Internet Marketers on Saturday and hope to get the message across that in order to be really successful, you have to break the mould and make the transition to Online Business Person. My online business course ‘All The Missing Pieces’ can get anyone into the mindset of being an Online Business Person no matter if you’re a beginner, blogger or internet marketer.

I won’t be introducing you to any shady marketing gimmicks or selling you any “get rich quick” methods, but I may well mention how you could benefit from combining some internet marketing ideas to your blog.

So if you want to find out the difference between blogging and internet marketing, and find some ideas how you can transform your on line business, come and watch my one hour presentation, for FREE on Saturday.

Come and join me this bonfire night and see how you can set your blog on fire!
