Do you feel like you’ve lost your way in life? Frequently waking up in the morning and feeling overcome with sadness? Struggling to get out of bed?

Many people live like this every day. Waking up feeling sad, a lack of desire, a lack of motivation, unexplained unhappiness, a heaviness and a desire to sleep the day away. Life seems to be passing them by filled with the sinking monotony of nothingness every day.

Can you relate to feeling like this, having lost your way in life?

“Monotony, lack of challenges and emotions break the spirit of man and one ends up losing his or her zeal for life, feeling tired, drained and demotivated.”

I lived feeling like this. I really hated the mornings. I had lost my way and lacked any purpose other than try to survive another day.

Today I wake up happy, excited and charged with energy.

Let me tell you exactly how this change happened.

We’ve all hit low points in life where we feel lost and unsure of who we are, where we’re supposed to be, and what we’re supposed to be doing. However, it’s these low points that allow us to rebuild our lives, discover ourselves, and become what we’ve always wanted to be.

Waking up in the morning is more than merely opening your eyes and starting the day.

Waking up in the morning is a process of “who am I” and “where am I” questions.

Waking up thinking about all the areas of your life that you are not happy about knocks you down before you’ve even got up. Focusing on all of the negative things happening in your life demonstrates clearly that you have lost your way in life.

There is a solution.

It won’t immediately change the way things are but in time it most certainly will.

Determine your WHAT!

That one thing you’ve always wanted to do.

You know that one thing you’ve had on your bucket list for most of your life?

That one thing that you dream about doing every single day but haven’t mustered up the courage to do yet because you don’t see how you could possibly do it?

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of living abroad.
Writing a book
Finding your soul mate
Making a difference
Becoming self-employed
Traveling the world

Your “What” is the one amazing thing you were born to do and is comprised of your inherent gifts, the vehicle you will use to share your gifts and the massive desire to fulfill it.

Ask yourself, “What’s the one thing I want to achieve more than anything?”

Still not sure what your one thing is.

Step One: Answer the question: What do I love? Think about all the things you love doing and write them down. Look back: What did you enjoy doing as a teenager? Even if you haven’t done something for years, if it would still bring you pleasure, write it down create your list of Things I Love Doing.

Step Two: For each item on your list of Things I Love Doing ask yourself each of the six questions below as it relates to the activity. Each answer should be a definitive yes or no.
1. Even if you didn’t get paid a penny for it, would you still do this?
2. Would doing this inspire you every day?
3. Does doing this come as naturally to you as breathing?
4. Do you feel you’ve been given a special gift to do this?
5. Does time seem to fly by when you’re engaged in this activity?
6. Can you possibly make money doing this?

Step Three: Keep doing this exercise until you reach an activity that results in a yes to all six questions.

Then no matter what it is, just do it.

Find the courage that has always been inside you and free yourself.

Make every day count.

Work on your what, until you’ve achieved it.

This will bring you purpose, and change everything, so you are no longer lost your way in life.

“True happiness… is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.” Helen Keller

Having a purpose gives you a direction and it makes things feel more meaningful.

Don’t accept having lost your way in life, find your ‘what’ and make it happen.
