Blogging has done a lot for me in terms of my confidence at work, its quite a good story but basically I was overlooked at work several times for a promotion, I work as a junior ecommece co-ordinator but know I should be much higher up but am not outspoken.

I have an ecommerce blog and one day found out that the marketing director read that blog and subscribed to the RSS, I used to blog anonymously but when I told him after I found out it opened a few doors for me. My job title is still the same but my opinions in work carry a lot more weight!

I totally get why people love to blog and understand that people like to do this to get their names out there but the thing I love about it is that I can write what I want to anonymously, I dont have to answer to anyone. I can talk about things openly from work to family and as long as I am careful no one traces it back to me. I am not writing anything too bad but I do like the added freedom I get from been able to rant/vent!

Larry all I can say is wow! I can't believe how new your blog is and how far you've come in such a short period of time. I've seen many blogs that are months if not years older than yours who aren't "getting" blogging as you clearly do.

I love blogging, it's a fabulous way for me to share my skills and experience. I love listening to my readers and are incredibly grateful for those that take the time and comment, respond and give me feedback.

I too am learning all the time and that's why I love reading other peoples blogs like yours for inspiration and motivation - something we ALL need:)

Keep up the awesome work:)

Charles thank you for your kidness as always. We are a small band of UK bloggers, but each with so much to offer, yet so different. I do hope that one day we all get together for a bloggers night out.

SJ it is great seeing you back around the blogosphere. I have loved the journey that blogging has taken me on, and even though i now run an online business , blogging still is to me just fun, and offers me the platform to write on things i love. I am sure, and hope that you rekindle the passion for blogging, because you are one of the best and the blogosphere is a better place within you in it.

Larry, blogging has been a totally change of life for me at a time that my life needed change. It allowed me an outlet to express my feelings and to share experiences in hopes that others in the same boat could relate. Having two blogs can become complicated at times because they are so very different from each other, but each one is satisfying in it's own way. I have written goals for each blog and try to stay true to those goals.
In attempting to build a following, I became involved in several social networks. Like everything else in life, some were better than others and each one was unique in what they offered. My involvement led me to meeting some of the most amazing people across the world. I call this my 'blogging family'. In truth, I am closer to some of my blogging friends than I am with people I see every day.
To any person that is considering blogging, I would say...it is a commitment. It is not something that you just go and write a post and drop your link and expect to have anyone spend much time at your blog. It is give and take. It is interactive. And when all of that comes together, it is rewarding. What you expect from blogging may change from time to time, but doesn't everything in life?
