As Tom Ziglar had said: “In life that we will be beaten down is a given, To stand back on our feet is a choice.”
Looking back now at my darkest period in life, I realize how little it takes to get you off course.
Just a little jog, an infinitesimal diviation of your course each day and in a few years you end up somewhere absolutely different than you wanted. You don’t realize it day by day but you realize it after some time in all its devastation.
I understand now that some times simply you cannot avoid it, you can’t fight it back just because our present circumstances are the manifastation of our past thoughts, doings and decisions. That is the meaning, I believe, of what ancient Greek Philosophers meant when they were teaching:”Destiny you can’t escape”. Because everyone’s destiny is laid up in front of him by one’s present thoughts, decisions and actions.
Some times we have to take the storm in its full force. To take stock. Not passively, not like victims. But actively and with a purpose. To digest the teachings of the storm and in doing so, finaly the big question will come to our mind: “Is this all that I am?”.
That I believe will be the turning point in anyone’s life. To rise above circumstances and see his choices and then simply MOVE.
