Life has many ups and downs and everybody will experience both success and failure at one time or other.

It’s almost impossible to go through life without suffering from failure, its just part of life’s journey. Seeing it as this will make a significant change in your mindset, and help you move forward with your life.

“Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.” Muhammad Ali.

What I believe he is saying is that to achieve success you have to experience failure along the way!

The way we respond to failure is critical to our life’s outcome. It can either empower us to carry on, fight back till we succeed or it will have the opposite reaction where we feel sorry for ourselves, quit and just give up.

As Emerson said, “Life is a series of experiments, the more you make the better. Each failure is a trial in an experiment and an opportunity for growth. Even if a failure costs you financially, the educational benefits can far outweigh the loss.”

So it’s how we deal with our setbacks, mistakes and failures that determine how our lives will work out.

I certainly know that there is no worse feeling than facing failure. It hurts! But the strength you can gain from facing up to your failures and working through them can transform your life in unbelievable ways. You have to be able to take the lessons from the failure you have encountered.

Recovering from my failure was hard that I cannot deny, but recover I have, and am now able to enjoy a new life. I’m Not alone on taking the journey from failure to success.

There are plenty of examples of famous people, sportspersons, actors and authors who facing defeat did not give up on their dreams.

President Lincoln, Thomas Edison, and Colonel Sanders are just three examples of individuals who achieved fabulous success after failure.

You learn from your failures. Failure can teach you what you’re doing wrong, and what to do to get it right the next time. Thomas Edison said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Never forgot your failures. They’re part of our journey, a crucial one. We know which of our ups and downs make us the happiest but often its our downs that help us to make our way up.

So even though things are going so well for me at the moment and I know its only up I will be moving, I still have my failures to look back on and they make this part of the journey that much more satisfying.

What has failure taught you?
