A much used statistic in our industry is that 95% of all Internet businesses fail. The shame of it all is that many of these online businesses fail for easily identifiable reasons.

Specialized knowledge is an essential for success, and they’ve not been given the right information to teach them what they need to know.

The time I had interacting with other bloggers was great, I loved every second of it. I made many friends whose blogs I loved reading and commenting on. But this social interaction would never benefit the business I was building.

My blog which has always been key to my strategy had to do one thing over and above everything else. It had to give value. By sharing tips, techniques, knowledge, insights, strategies, support and inspiration you establish your blog as a platform worth visiting for those looking for answers in your area of expertise.

My focus has been to provide valuable content close to 5 or 6 days a week. This number of blogs per week has made all the difference in amount of traffic I receive and the sales I get. Of course I believe the reason I am able to attract so many personal development life coaching clients is they are reassured by the voice that comes through from my blog writing. From it they get a sense of the person I am, and the strengths I can offer them as a coach.

I know I’m one of the lucky ones. Many of you have blogs that you love just as much as I do mine but your blogs aren’t getting read, and you’re not making any money from it. You’re wondering if ‘this whole blogging thing’ is even worth continuing.

I’m not going to sit here and lie to you and say that it’s easy to create a wildly successful blog. But I’m also not going to say that it need be incredibly difficult.

Blogging requires passion, dedication, hard work and consistency. It also takes time for you to build up credibility.

What I want to say to any blogger today, or to anyone contemplating getting into blogging, it’s not just about your blog that you should be thinking.

When you consider business bloggers they are blogging to support, market and promote their business. Whether it be online or off. Why should you be any different. Of course as a blogger you can sell advertising on your site, or promote affiliate links, but why stop there, why be so small minded.

So you want to blog, well blog as an entrepreneur.

If you’re online with an intention to make money you should be thinking of creating a valuable resource which you should house in your very own members own area, and create an ecommerce shop where you are the retail boss.

This in my mind, and with my example is the way to get started and make money.

With the fact that 9 out of 10 bloggers fail, maybe you should do things differently and becoming an entrepreneurial blogger.

Start thinking about it, I promise you it will make the difference.
