15Jun
Not everyone will want to turn their blog into a business but it is possible if you want it to be so.
It really is up to you. That’s the beauty of blogging. Your blog is yours. It is all about you. It’s your world.
So if you want to make money from it, why shouldn’t you?
If you want to go from being just a blogger to one that makes money, stop trying out all these little schemes you read about and instead determine your blog business model and once you do, work on it.
Don’t forget, to make a profitable income directly from your blog is going to take time, it won’t happen immediately. Just like any business things take time and hard work.
So you are passionate about what you do, for your subject, as well as your blog. The amount of time you spend on it, and the value it provides your readers, it makes utter sense that you make money from it. To do this you need to point things in a viable direction. This is how you take a hobby and turn it into a business. You learn, discover, and decide on a business model that works for you.
The good news is that just about any topic can be monetized these days. You just have to find the business model that is right for you and go for it!
Today let me just start getting you to think how you can take your passions to profit.
Let’s start thinking about a business model that is right for you.
You can either adopt a direct blog monetization model where the blog is the direct source of revenue.
Over at my blog www.healthylifestylesliving.com one form of my blogging income comes from selling advertising space on my blog. Companies simply pay to advertise on it. The more traffic you have, the more advertisers you’ll have knocking on your door.
An indirect blog monetization model is where the blog is a lead generation tool that contributes to revenues via the sales of a product or service outside the blog.
Let me give you an example of this. For many years, my blog has generated coaching business, successfully. The blog serves as a living, breathing résumé through which prospective clients get to know about me, and it works very well to establish good, solid, sustainable connections.
I am going to write a series of articles about how I make money online. This series of articles will cover how you can use a blog to generate profit and opportunities so keep an eye out for them over the next month or two.
