Hi my name is Larry Lewis and I’d like to welcome you to Larry-Lewis.com. I’m now starting to re-invent this blog as a place for me to share my own experiences, opinions and ideas on blogging, building an online business, and creating the lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of. Being a life coach and personal development blogger I’m sure every now and again I’ll be touching on those subjects too, as well as writing my online book ‘The Pearl and Dean Story’.
Have you booked your summer holiday yet? Perhaps you’re still at the planning stage. Maybe cash is a bit short and you’re living in hope that somehow you’ll still be able to get away and enjoy the joys of sun, sea and alcohol.
I love spending time on a beautiful beach soaking up the sunshine, but equally I love walking around historic buildings, hiking through stunning countryside or relaxing in a hustling busy café people watching in a European city like Paris or Venice, or letting my hair down at Disney World in Florida.
Whatever you choose, it’s great to be able to look forward to a complete break, an escape from the stresses and strains of your working world. You unwind and forget all about it and come back relaxed and refreshed – terrific!
We live in a world where so many people seem to be prisoners to their inner demons and scars, of oppressive employers or pressures of life. And their two week holiday is their only time of freedom.
But does life really have to be like that? Fifty weeks of hard work, living a 9 to 5 existence, Monday to Friday, dreaming constantly of your 2 weeks of escapism. A 2 weeks respite from a life of stress and pressure.
What if you could find work that would be as much pleasure to you as your holiday? What if, for 50 weeks of the year, you did something that stimulated, challenged and fulfilled you? What if it also rewarded you as you deserve?
Work that enriches your life, now isn’t that a grandiose and ludicrous idea on my part. I say not. It is really possible. You really can enjoy what you do for a living, and work would no longer be a dirty word.
So here is the issue. How can you do work that lets you live the life you want? Here is a clue. The question could be: How can you make a living out of your passions and quit your day job?
Considering I’m one of the lucky ones that are following my passions to earn a decent living, I decided I would start utilising this blog as my place to write mostly about this, so I can leave my healthy lifestyles living blog more for delivering solutions to help people make changes to their health and mind.
My example demonstrates that the gap between where you are and where you want to be can be closed by following your passions. The day I realised that by me utilizing my strengths, passions, and expertise to create something unique and valuable, where I set out to make the difference for others I opened up a world of opportunities and possibilities for myself.
When you’re passionate about what you’re doing, inspiration enters your life. You suddenly have a purpose driving you, and a reason to get out of bed in the morning. You are living in the most exciting time we have ever experienced and the possibilities awaiting us are unlimited. Once you put your mind, and energies to your passions you can truly empower your life.
So where do your passions lie, and what ideas are going around in your heads that may, just may be the potential opportunity your life’s waiting for. Every great invention and successful business was originally just an idea in someone’s head. So come on, get thinking, what’s your idea?
